Welcome to Red Pine Campground! We are now accepting reservations for the 2024 season, which runs May 1st through October 1st!

ABOUT THE PARK

Situated on 80 beautiful acres, Red Pine Campground is located just off Hwy 53 in Saginaw, MN. Whether you’re coming to enjoy a peaceful north country getaway, or if you’re just passing through, we are conveniently located, easy to access, and offer something for everyone! We offer 100 spacious, full hook-up RV sites in either pull-through or back-in formats. Relax near one of our beautiful water bodies, or try your luck fishing. In the ponds you’ll find a wide variety of fish, including Northern Pike, Walleye, Largemouth Bass, panfish, and even Catfish! We offer complementary paddleboats and canoes, or rent an electric pontoon for a relaxing time on the water. As a family-owned and operated campground, we welcome families of all ages…and pets, too!

Children can enjoy our multi-level playset or swings, while the whole family can partake in a game of cornhole or horseshoes near the pavilion. Coming soon for 2023, we will feature a brand-new GaGa pit!

Inside our clubhouse you’ll find full-service bathrooms and clean showers, as well as full-service coin-operated laundry facilities. You’ll also find an entertainment area featuring a pool table, television, vending machine, a wide collection of DVDs and books, puzzles and more! There’s also a kitchenette area available to all guests if you need extra space for larger gatherings.

Explore over a mile of beautiful, groomed hiking [or biking] trails throughout the property. We’re home to a variety of wildlife and many different song birds. You might encounter whitetail deer, turkey, fox, snowshoe hare, or a ruffed grouse to name a few. With our several waterbodies, our park is also frequented by a variety of waterfowl.

The park is 100% run by our family. Everything from maintenance to reservations is done by us. You’ll often see us out and about in the park and you’ll speak with us if you call. Our mission is to ensure that every guest has a wonderful, relaxing time and gets the most from their visit to our Park and the Duluth and Northern Minnesota area.

Accommodations

One of the many reasons people love staying with us is the unbeatable amenities we offer at Red Pine. We pride ourselves in keeping the grounds in pristine condition and have put a lot of effort into continuous improvements around the park.

Our sites speak for themselves and they’re one of the reasons people come back year after year. We offer over 100 spacious and clean RV sites. Sites 1-99 are full hook-up (Water/Electric/Sewer) with either 30 and/or 50amp connections, in either pull-through or back-in configurations. For 2023 we will be offering 10 brand new “premium rustic” back-in sites. These sites feature water and 50/30/20amp electrical connections, and a new RV dump station near the exit as you leave. They are generously spaced and wooded for a more secluded northwoods retreat. We hope you enjoy them! For the truly rustic camper, we offer two secluded walk-in tent sites. These sites offer raised tent pads to offer a nice level & dry spot for setting up your tent. (no water or electricity at the tent sites- they are truly rustic) ALL sites are furnished with fire pits and picnic tables for your convenience. We dedicate May through September to providing the best experience for all of our guests. If you need a recommendation on a restaurant or activity, directions, change for the laundry or vending, or any other question or concern, we’re here to assist. We genuinely enjoy visiting and getting to know our guests, and we always look forward to hearing feedback. Don’t forget to pick up your Red Pine Campground merchandise or a variety of other essentials in the office! There is complimentary WiFi throughout the park. Keep in mind we are in the great Northwoods of Minnesota. We don’t have fancy fiber optics, so you probably won’t be able to binge your favorite new series on Netflix…but, if you long to remain connected or “on the grid”, we strive to provide a solid connection so you can do that. All major cell phone carriers also have fairly good reception throughout the park.

We have seasoned firewood for purchase right at the campground. We’ll even deliver it to your site for free! We kindly ask that you purchase all wood on-site from us, as we (and the State of Minnesota) don’t want any invasive bugs or plants making their way into our forests from non-native firewood. And we promise that you’ll enjoy our competitively priced and generously sized bundles! We offer the convenience of pre-purchasing when you book your stay online, or you can always purchase when you get here.

Our centrally-located air conditioned bathhouse features a mens and womens restroom and shower, coin-operated laundry facilities, vending machines, activities for the dreary day (we don’t have those in Duluth), sink, and seating area. The facility is open 24 hours a day and is open for all campground guests for use.

THE SITES

We have both pull-through and back-in sites, but all sites have plenty of maneuvering room to make getting in and out of the sites a breeze. (Yes, even for the novice driver.) All site pads and roads are ¾ inch washed rock which makes for a clean and stable surface for final leveling once you’re on the site, and it keeps summer dust to a minimum.

All sites have electric and water hookups that are included in your stay. Several sites offer either 50a or 30a only, but the majority of the sites offer 50/30/20amp combination hookups. All sites have freshwater connections, which provide sotftened water thanks to our Culligan water treatment system. SItes 1-100 have septic hookups and although the new “premium rustic” sites 101-110 don’t offer septic hookups, those sites have a dedicated dump station for your convenience as you leave.

All sites have a fire ring (It ain’t camping if you can’t have a campfire with smore’s, right?!) and a standard size picnic table. Many of the sites offer beautiful views of the ponds we have on the property, and many have mature trees to provide shade throughout the day. If you’d like recommendations on sites that may offer better water views or shade trees, feel free to call and ask, we’d be happy to help!

Remote sites 101-110 are brand new to the 2023 season! Our goal is to offer RV sites with a little more privacy and seclusion, similar to something you might find in one of our great State Parks, while still enjoying the amenities of a modern RV park. Most of the new sites are capable of fitting the largest 5 th wheels and coaches, however, some sites are a little shorter so please refer to the individual site notes and measurements when you book.
